El Túnel de Oriente, ubicado en el departamento de Antioquia, es considerado por ahora, el túnel vial más largo de Colombia más largo en operación en América Latina. Su construccion comenzo en el 2015 y fue inaugurado el 15 de Agosto de 2019.
La obra total de este túnel consta de aproximadamente 22,3 kilómetros, 1,9 kilómetros en nueve viaductos, dos intercambios viales, 4 kilómetros de vías a nivel y tres túneles, uno de ellos de 8,2 kilómetros de longitud.
El objetivo de este túnel es conectar a Medellín, la capital de Antioquia, con el aeropuerto Internacional José María Córdoba de Río Negro, en unos 18 minutos, casi la mitad de tiempo de lo que se que se gastaba en la vía tradicional.

The Oriente Tunnel, located in the department of Antioquia, is considered for now, the longest road tunnel in Colombia, the longest in operation in Latin America. Its construction began in 2015 and was inaugurated on August 15, 2019.
The objective of this tunnel is to connect Medellín, the capital of Antioquia, with the José María Córdoba International Airport in Río Negro, in about 18 minutes, almost half the time of what was spent on the traditional route.
